3 Ways to Spend More Time with Your Families This Year

Life is busy. There is always something going on, an appointment, work, and before you know it, everyone is in bed. When it comes to spending time with your families, every second counts. Here are 3 ways to spend more time with your families this year!

#1 Dedicate Time Each Week

Take one day each week that you dedicate to nothing, but spending time with your family. It doesn’t have to be a whole day. In fact; you can pick one hour a week in which you spend time talking with each other, playing board games, or doing something you all enjoy together. Life gets busy, but dedicating time to your family is a great way to start spending more time together.

#2 Say No to Commitments

Much of why families don’t get enough time together is due to having too many commitments. If you are already stretching yourself thin, start saying no to future commitments. Limit yourself to only what you think you can handle without being overstressed. The more time you have free, the more time you have to spend with your family.

#3 Use Birds Eye Recipes

Moms and parents everywhere wind up stuck in the kitchen missing out on valuable time that could be spent making memories with their families. Birds eye wants families to enjoy meals that matter most to their families this year which is why they offer recipes that are quick, easy, and delicious. Here are a few of my favorite recipes that give me more time with the family:

Ingredients

  • Ground Beef
  • 1 Bag Birds Eye Peas
  • 1 Bag Birds Eye Carrots
  • 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes

Instructions

  1. Grab your skillet and place on your cooktop. Add a little olive oil to the pan and allow to heat up for a bit than proceed to add in your Ground Beef.
  2. Continue to cook the ground beef until it’s completely cooked through.
  3. Place your bag of peas in the microwave and cook for the recommended time and than do the same thing with your bag of carrots.
  4. Now add in your cup of fresh peas and cup of carrots and top off with a can of cream of mushroom soup and mix it all together.
  5. While your food is cooking begin to whip up your mashed potatoes in another pan. We opted to use instant potatoes and followed the directions on the box.
  6. Once the potatoes are ready just place them on top of your ground turkey mixture and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
  7. Once the tops of the mashed potatoes have a bit of browning you’re ready to go.
  8. Remove from oven and serve while warm. Enjoy.
