I’ve had a love relationship with Smucker’s Jelly since I was a little girl. I have the fondest memories of the most basic peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that melted my heart growing up and to this day you’ll still catch me eating them for lunch and dinner. Of course I have instilled the yummy goodness into my children as well as they’ll be having Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches in their back to school lunches as well. Smucker’s Jelly comes in a variety of delicious flavors that are both kid friendly and adult friendly.
I love to take the traditional Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich and give it a twist. So today my family and I decided to whip up some Peanut Butter & Jelly French Toast for dinner! Yes that’s right breakfast for dinner! Welcome to our home and the end of summer where everything is okay and fun for the kids! In this french toast dinner we used the Smucker’s Simply Fruit Concord Grape Spreadable Fruit Jelly and Smucker’s Simply Fruit Red Raspberry Spreadable Fruit Jelly and of course Jif peanut butter.
Peanut Butter & Jelly French Toast
What you need:
- Smucker’s Simply Fruit Concord Grape
- Smucker’s Simply Fruit Red Raspberry
- Jif Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter
- Frying Pan
Lay out your 2 slices on bread and spread Jif peanut butter on one side and jelly on the other side. Place the sandwich together to make a traditional Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich. Now in a small mixing bowl pour in milk and crack 2 eggs and whisk it together until well blended. Dip your sandwich in the egg mixture soaking both sides and quickly place on the frying pan over medium heat. Cook on each side of the sandwich for 2-3 minutes. Once finished remove from heat and place on plate to cool. Once cooled cut the sandwich in half, sprinkle with powdered sugar, top off with some whip cream and strawberries and indulge. Mmm.. Delicious!
