Since becoming a mom of four, I have tried to find ways in which I can get some time to myself. It may sound crazy, but finding a few minutes to myself each day, helps so much. The trick is to find just a few minutes each day to help keep your sanity. Here are some ways I make it work.
Wake up a few minutes early
Some days the only minutes I get to myself are when I wake up early. Isn’t that crazy? Just a few minutes to breath and take in the day before the craziness starts.
Get some time away
Trade with your neighbor for a few minutes away! If you have a neighbor that is a mom, try trading time alone with each other each week. Having a ½ hour alone, once a week, without kids is pure bliss.
Grab your favorite snack
I love snacking, it’s one of my favorite things to do. A little secret? My favorite snack ever is MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy! It’s delicious and when I eat it, it makes me feel happy, calm, and an even better mom. I could eat this candy morning, noon, and night. Obviously, I have to practice some self control in my life – so I can’t do that. However, I can tell everyone about how awesome it is.
