Prepping for the New Year

I have a list a mile long of things I need to do before the New Year gets here. Prepping for the New Year isn’t always easy, but I make it happen. Are you wondering what you need to do to get ready for 2017? Keep these tips in mind!

Get your finances in order

Everyone needs to get his or her finances ready for the New Year. Setting a budget, making sure taxes are good to go, and gearing up for big purchases are all a part of getting your finances in order.

Set realistic fitness goals

I am no workout-aholic, but I do appreciate being healthy. With the New Year come new goals for being healthy.

Get the kids’ schools situated

With four kids, we always have one starting school or moving up a grade. Getting everything organized for the New Year is super important. If your child is starting a new school or enrolling in a new school, it all starts at the beginning of the New Year.

Get our insurance situation under control

You cannot avoid health insurance; it is something that needs to be addressed. Health insurance is one of those things that is important for your financial future. I know it’s super confusing, but it’s an important part of life. Did you know that there are resources available to help you understand health insurance? Health insurers such as Anthem Blue Cross and Application Assistors, Navigators and brokers in your local communities are available to help you navigate your options during open enrollment season and find a plan that is a good fit for you. For more information, go to HealthCare.gov or NavigatingOpenEnrollment.com!

The New Year may be giving you a list a mile long, but you got this. Prepping for the New Year and health insurance won’t be the end of the world. Now is the time to pick a new insurance plan, so run with it!
