All busy parents on the go know that how much stuff you have to grab when running out the door.  Whether you’re handling infants, toddlers or little kids you always need snacks, drinks, extra clothing, toys and more to make sure they’re comfortable.  My days consist of running after 3 little ones ages 1, 4 and 5 and definitely keeping me on my toes.  We love to head to the park and have a little play time in the sun, go for bike rides, visit our local amusement parks and more.  We love to spend our days outdoors and it’s always nice to be able to sit, relax and enjoy a delicious snack with the kids at times.

One of our new favorite snacks among my kids is the Tree Top Apple Sauce Pouches and boy are they delicious.  Hey!  No one said they’re just for kids! The Tree Top Apple Sauce pouches can in a box of 4 and are individual servings for each child.  Just grab a handful and toss them in the diaper bag, kids backpacks, purse or even the car.  When the children are ready for a delicious snack just twist off the top and let the go to town.  These pouches are loved by my entire family and are even great for my 18 month old daughter Madison.

Having apple sauce on the go would never be possible with my three messy kids if it wasn’t for these unique apple sauce pouches.  With these easy to use pouches you don’t have to worry about spoons or a mess all over.  These pouches are made with pure fruit, no added sugars and contain 100% Vitamin C.  You’ll love that the pouches are free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors.

My children rely on me to give them the best quality foods and I know they’re getting that from Tree Top.  Tree Top’s growers are committed to raising top quality fruits to create only the best products for your growing family.  Tree Top has teamed up with KidsGardening.org to help change the world one child at a time.  For every purchase of the Tree Top Apple Sauce Pouches, Tree Top will donate one dollar to KidsGardening.org through the Raising Good Apples.  Now that is a team that I want to be a part of.  Not only are these products the best for snacking, great for on the go and loved by all kids but you’re giving back by purchasing these at your local retailer.  It’s a win-win situation in my eyes.

In honor of KidsGardening.org my son and I decided to make some gorgeous pressed flowers.  I love that this project is so easy for kids to do, plus kids love the hands on experience.  Pressing flowers allows you to find a flower you absolutely love and press it into a flat shape so you can keep it forever.  This project is so easy and done with the ease of a microwave.

How to Press flowers in the microwave

What you need:

  • Fresh Flower(s)
  • Microwave safe plate (2)
  • Microwave
  • Paper Towels

Pressed Flowers

Lay out your first microwave safe plate and line with a paper towel.  Lay out your flower(s) on top of the paper towel and place the other paper towel over the flower.  Place your last microwave safe plate over the paper towels and carefully place in the microwave.  Turn the microwave on for about 40 seconds and then remove.  Place in the microwave for another 15 second until your flowers are dried out.  Allow to lie out for about an hour on your paper towel and dry out a little bit more. Your flowers are now pressed and gorgeous!  Enjoy.
