One of my favorite scents of all time is vanilla so I decided to whip up some Homemade Vanilla Bath Salt using my favorite essential oils.

Homemade Vanilla Bath Salt

I’m a busy mother of 3 little ones, a wife to an amazing husband and I work outside the home all week long. When I get home all I want to do is unwind and that’s normally easier said than done. That is why one of my News Years Resolutions is to have more “me time” and that involves a hot bath, my favorite tunes, the newest magazine and of course bath salts.

Vanilla is such a calming scent and it really can help you relax. This homemade bath salt recipe uses only 4 ingredients and only takes about 5 minutes to mix up. Next time you are needing a calming and relaxing bath, give this a try!

Homemade Vanilla Bath Salt

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Epson Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Soda
  • 2 drops Vanilla Essential oil
  • 1 Drop Yellow Food Coloring (Optional)

Directions

You’re going to be amazing at how easy this is. Using a Medium mixing bowl pour in your cup of salt and top off with your baking soda. Mix it up and add in 1 drop of yellow food coloring to give it a fresh look. Once again give it a good mixing until all the color is soaked into the salt. To add the final touches add in 2 drops of Vanilla essential oil and give it one quick stir. Once you are happy with your bath salt store it in an airtight container and store in your bedroom, bathroom or wrap it up for a gift. This should stay fresh for up to 3 months! Enjoy.
