As many of you know, our family is going to be growing in just a few short months. We’ll be going from 5 to 6 and that’s a pretty big jump. Our current vehicles don’t allow us all to fit, which is why we are excited to look for something a little bigger. While we are hunting, we are definitely test driving several vehicles. With my experience, I wanted to share some tips on how to make the most of your test drive.
Bring Everything with You
This may sound weird to bring ‘everything’ with you, but to make your test drive feel like reality, you need everything! That means you need to bring the kids with you and the spouse. This helps your test drive seem more realistic.
Go “Off Road”
Don’t literally go off road, but do take the road less traveled whenever you’re doing a test drive. If you ask for a longer test drive, your salesperson will most likely go with it. After all, you’re looking to purchase this vehicle long term, why wouldn’t they allow you to drive it longer?
Take the Wild Side
When it comes to driving a vehicle that you are thinking of purchasing, don’t be afraid to take the wild side. What I mean by this is going on a bumpy road or taking a curvy road. You’re not going to know what a vehicle is made of it you don’t actually challenge it.
B8
Autotrader actually surveyed consumers and the survey showed that 84% say it’s important to test drive a vehicle before you buy it. I love Autotrader as an option whenever looking for a vehicle because they help narrow down the choices on the market today. Make sure you check out Autotrader’s Must Test Drive vehicle lineup for 2016 includes a wide range of body styles to ensure that no matter what kind of vehicle a shopper is considering, the list will point them in the right direction for their next purchase.
