DIY Drawable Cookies

Being home with little kids means we’re always baking something delicious during the week to enjoy for dessert. This week we decided to make these fun DIY Drawable Cookies and they were a huge hit. Just imagine a delicious cookie that you can decorate with your kids and gobble it all up. It doesn’t get any better than this.

If you have a child that loves to bake and be creative than these cookies are going to be a huge hit in your home. Aside from the daily dessert these would be the most perfect party additions for kids birthday bashes. Just make the cookies ahead of time, get lots of Wilton Food Markers and let your guests have a blast decorating their very own cookies!

DIY Drawable Cookies

Homemade Drawable Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1- 16oz roll of refrigerated cookie dough
  • White fondant
  • Wilton food markers
  • You will also need
  • Cookie cutter (any shape)
  • Rolling pin
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll your dough onto a floured surface and use a cookie cutter to cut your shape out.
  3. Place your cookie dough cut outs onto your parchment paper lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for one hour.
  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes and let cool.
  5. Now roll out your fondant in between two pieces of parchment paper and use the same cookie cutter (washed of course) to cut out the same shape.
  6. Place your fondant pieces onto your baked cookies.
  7. Now let the kids draw away with Wilton food coloring markers.
