Ever since I was a little girl one of my favorite movies growing up was Cinderella. I absolutely love a great story line with a happy line, I mean who doesn’t. Cinderella is a movie that has a true happy ending and I can watch it over and over again with my kids any day of the week. Now that I have a daughter of my own I love that I’m able to share my love for this movie with her and we can cherish the moment together. The original Cinderella movie was released back in 2015 and was produced by Walt Disney. Aside from the original being one of my favorite movies I was thrilled to find out that Walt Disney was releasing a new Cinderella movie and it’s amazing.
Cinderella has been one of the most anticipated movies to hit the theaters and now that it’s in the theaters you have to see it. You can see a list of movie showings here for your convenience. Since my daughter and I ventured out to see the movie together and she loved it so I thought it was such a fun idea to try out the entire line of Cinderella girls’ costumes and accessories. I got the amazing opportunity to work with Party City and they provided me with everything I needed to turn my daughter Madison into a Cinderella. My daughter is 17 months and playing dress up with her is one of my favorite things to do so we have a Dress up like Cinderella day at our house. Not only was the outfit adorable but my daughter loved it so much she wore it the entire day.

With all the items we received my daughter can dress up in a few different ways to Dress up like Cinderella. We paired the tutu dress with the princess wand and princess Cinderella Tiara. Another way we wore the outfit was with the tutu dress, leg warmer, slipper shoes and the tiara sunglasses. My daughter absolutely loves the Girls Tutu Cinderella Dress and the Sunglasses and she wears them on a daily basis. Madison loves the outfits and accessories so much that she cries when we have to take the stuff off for bedtime and not a moment goes by when she isn’t hanging onto her Cinderella wand or her Princess Tiara Sunglasses. Cinderella High Heel Cupcakes
What you need:
- Duncan Hines Vanilla Cupcakes
- Duncan Hines Frosting
- Blue Gel Food Coloring - Purchase here
- Cupcake Wrappers
- Milano Cookies
- Pirouette Cookies
- Wilton Sugar Pearls (Optional) – Purchase here
- Large Open star piping tip – Purchase here
- Small closed star piping tip
- Piping Bag or Ziploc baggie)
Bake your cupcakes according to the directions on the box. Once they are mixed up line your muffin pan with your favorite cupcake liners and pour your batter in. Pour the batter in to fill about ½ of the cupcake liner than place in the oven for 13 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for at least 20 minutes. Grab your icing and spoon it into a mixing bowl. Apply several drops of the gel food coloring and mix your frosting together. If you’re happy with the shade of blue you’re done if you’re looking for a more royal blue than add in more gel food coloring. Once you’re happy spoon your frosting into your piping bag with your open star tip already attached. Grab your cupcakes and start frosting your cupcakes starting from the outside edge all the way to the middle. Feel feed to make your frosting as high as you want, these are your cupcakes so get creative. Now that the base of the cupcake is frosted it’s time to grab 2 Milano cookies and 1 Pirouette cookies and lay on a flat surface. Cut off the tip of the Milano cookies and cut the Piroette cookies in the middle at an angle. These will act as the sole of the shoe and the heel. Add a little bit of your blue frosting on both sides of the pirouette cookie and hold the cookie in your non-dominant hand. Grab your Milano cookies and place them into the middle of the frosting angling them upward and quickly attach the Pirouette cookie underneath. You see the high heel coming to life? Great now let’s add the finishing decorative touches. I want my entire cupcake to have blue on it so I switched out my large open star tip for my smalled closed star piping tip and added blue frosting around the sole of my cookies. Last thing to do is sprinkle your Wilton white sugar pearls all over the frosting of the high heel. That’s it. You have a gorgeous pair of Cinderella High Heels that are perfect for any party or event!
