Homemade Cupcake Candle

I’m in love with cupcakes, the smell of them and the looks of them but we don’t have them in the house that often. Since I have such a strong love for cupcakes I decided it would be a great idea to do a Homemade Cupcake Candle to have in my office so I can see the gorgeous sprinkled candle and smell cupcakes all day long, yum. These candles are so easy to make and look amazing, not to mention they look good enough to eat! Perfect for gifting or for any area of the home.

Homemade Cupcake Candle

What you need:

  • 1/2 Pint Mason Jar (Purchase here)
  • 2 Tbsp Colorful Sprinkles
  • 3 Tbsp Corn Syrup
  • 2 cups Soy Candle Wax (Purchase here)
  • Candle Wick (Purchase here)
  • 2 Cupcake Scented Melting Cubes (Purchased at Walmart)
  • Paint Brush
  • Microwave Safe Bowl

Grab your mason jar and pour in your 3 tbsp of corn syrup onto the side. Now take your paint brush and paint the sides completely with corn syrup making sure not to skip any areas. Now pour in your colorful sprinkles and rotate the jar until the sides are completely covered with delicious sprinkles. Flip the mason jar upside down to remove the excess sprinkles and place back in their container. Grab your corn syrup and apply a small amount to the bottom of your wick plate and place in the middle of the mason jar and hold still for 1 minute. (The corn syrup helps the wick stay in place without the use of glue or any other substances.) Now grab your microwave safe bowl and pour in your soy candle wax and top off with 2 cupcake scented cubes. Tip: The more cubes you add in the stronger the scent but I felt 2 was perfect and it still had a very strong smell. Place in the microwave for 3 minutes and remove when finished. The wax and cubes should be liquid and really to be poured into the candle. Quickly pour your candle wax into the mason jar focusing on pouring in the middle to not disrupt the sprinkles. Allow to cool for about 1 hour before it’s ready to be used. My sprinkles stayed in place for the most part and these candles turned out amazing! Once the top later is hard you can light the candle and enjoy the cupcake aroma throughout your entire home! Enjoy.

    1. These burned perfectly and they are completely safe. The sprinkles cover the corn syrup and it dries out. I have already burnt two of these candles down to the very bottom!
