If you want to control the sugar content in your children’s breakfast you should make the breakfast items yourself. I made these delicious Homemade Fruit Rollups and they were a hit with the kids and adults.

Homemade Fruit Rollups

Growing up I have fond memories of eating fruit roll ups in my school lunches. Their fantastic memories of the sweet treats I had back in the day, and now my kids are enjoying them. I love that my kids love fruit roll ups but they can get quite pricey in the stores and kids can go through a box in 2-3 days. I used to make homemade fruit roll ups with my mom and now I thought it was time to share my recipe with all of you amazing readers. All it takes is 2 simple ingredients and you’re on your way to delicious Homemade fruit rolls up. These are so easy to make you can even get the kids involved, my 4 year old loved helping out.

Homemade Fruit Rolls Ups

Ingredients

  • 4 Large Green Apples (you can use any fruit you choose)
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Peel your apples and remove the middle core and cut into slices. In a blender (I used my Ninja) place in your 4 cut up apples with 3/4 cup sugar and blend those 2 ingredients until you have a nice, smooth puree. Pour Pureed contents into a saucepan on medium heat and cook for 25 minutes and while cooking in the saucepan be sure to stir occasionally. After 25 minutes pour contents onto a silicone mat on a cookie sheet or you can use a foiled lined cookie sheet and spread contents very thin across pan using a spatula. Bake in over for 3 hours than remove and allow to cool. Once the contents are cooled remove them from your silicone mat or foil. Place sticky side down on parchment paper and cut into strips and Enjoy!
