Homemade Popsicle Soaps

I love making homemade soaps products for my family and I to enjoy. I wanted to step it up a notch and create these fun Homemade Popsicle Soaps for my kids to use. Plus I know they’ll make excellent gifts to my family and friends for the holidays!

Homemade Popsicle Soaps

Yields 6 Popsicle Soap Bars

What you need:

• 24 oz. Stephenson Melt & Pour Soap (Purchase here)
• Glass Measuring Cup
• Brambleberry Electric Bubble Gum Color Block (Purchase here)
• Brambleberry Hydrated Green Oxide Color Block (Purchase here)
• Popsicle Mold (Purchased from World Market) (Purchase here)
• Knife
• Microwave
• Spray Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol

Directions:

1. Remove your Melt & Pour soap from the packaging and cut into 1″ squares and place in your Glass measuring cup.
2. For the first layer of pink popsicle soaps I used 16 oz. of Melt & pour soap which was enough for 6 popsicle soaps.
3. Place in the microwave for 1 minute and remove. While it’s still hot add in a sliver of your bubble gum colorblock and stir in quickly.
4. Pour your pink soap base into the popsicle mold filling the cavity up half way.
5. Spritz the top of your soaps with rubbing alcohol to get rid of all air bubbles.
6. Allow your pink soap base to set for at least 30 minutes before moving onto the 2nd color.
7. Once the soaps are hardened grab 6 oz. of Melt & Pour soap cubes and place in your glass microwave bowl. Place in microwave for 45 seconds.
8. Once melted place a sliver of your green color block and stir until well combined. Spritz the top of your soap with rubbing alcohol once again and carefully pour the green mixture on top of 3 of your popsicles.
9. For the remaining 3 popsicles I just used white Melt & Pour, melted like normal and poured on the other pink popsicles.
10. Place the popsicle lid on top of the molds and carefully place your popsicle sticks into the center of the popsicle soaps. (Tip: I used butterfly clips to hold them in place so they didn’t sink down or shift during hardening times.
11. Allow you popsicle soaps to sit for at least 3 hours before attempting to remove.
12. When you’re ready to remove from the molds just place the entire popsicle tray in the freezer for 30 minutes and than run under hot water.
13. Squeezing from the bottom upward you’ll be able to release the popsicle mold. Wrap in clear cellaphame until ready to use.
14. To give them an extra cutesy look I used a small cookie cutter and made a bite mark out of the top of the soaps! Enjoy.

These popsicle soaps make great gifts for the holidays and would make such cute party favors as well. Please be sure to label as soaps so your guests don’t get the wrong idea and try to consume them. When you are ready to use them, just remove the stick and enjoy.
