Lavender Body Butter may be one of my favorite DIY beauty projects so far. The aroma of the Lavender is calming and every time I use this body butter on my skin I smell like Lavender the entire day. The body butter is silky smooth and will leave your skin feeling hydrated for hours and hours. This would make the most perfect gift for your friends and family members. Enjoy.
Lavender Body Butter
- ½ C. Shea butter (Purchase here)
- ½ C. Coconut oil (Purchase here)
- 1 tbs. Lavender Essential Oils (Purchase here)
Add the Coconut oil and the Shea butter to a small saucepan. Heat on low until melted, mixing well. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let set until cooled to room temperature. Pour the content of the coconut oil and shea mixture into a bowl and set in the freezer for 15 minutes. Remove from the freezer and add the lavender essential oils. Use a hand mixer to beat the ingredients until whipped (about 2 minutes). Scoop the body butter into an airtight container, such as a mason jar and seal. Keep the body butter at room temperature for about 6 months. This smells fantastic and really works wonders on the skin.
