Clutter is something we all have in our homes. Instead of allowing it to just sit there and cause a headache, you can make money off of it! Find out my ways on How to Make Money from Clutter in your home.
I wanted to share my top tips for making money off of the clutter within your home. Let’s get started.
Facebook Yard Sale Groups
One of the most modern ways to make money off of clutter items in your home is to sell them online. There are dozens of Facebook Yard Sale Groups in your area alone. Find one that has easy rules and people who follow through with sales. Take high quality pictures of your items and sell them at a decent rate.
Make Money from Metal
Many people have old metal lying around their home in and in their yards. Scrap that old metal at a local junk yard and make some money off of it!
Consignment Shops
I like the way consignment shops are run. I always feel as though I get more money for my items. They sell your item for a certain price and you both get a certain percentage off the item. Plus, they do most of the hard work for you.
Don’t be Afraid to Bundle
I love to bundle my items and get rid of them that way. Once I had an old sewing machine and several bundles of fabric. I added it all together and sold it for a great price! The person on the receiving end of the purchase loved the items and I loved making the extra money.
Sell it in the Paper
Not everyone is online these days. Take some old clutter in your house and sell it in the paper. Yes, classifieds are still a thing “today” and it’s a great way to make money! Even if you decide to have one big sale from your garage or yard, you can put it in the paper and advertise your clutter for sale. Along the same lines, you can sell your items on Craigslist. To me, this is a little more risky and requires you to be smart and quick on your feet.
Tax Kick Back
Even if you can’t sell an item, you can donate it and receive a tax kick back! It may not be much, but it might be more than you made if you tried to sell it otherwise.
Count Your Blessings
When you clean your home, you are likely to find items like change, gold, and other items you can sell. See how much change you can find by getting rid of the clutter within-in your home. Spend time counting the money as a family and see what you can spend your hard on change on!
Have you considered selling clutter within your home for cash? I’d love to hear your experience.
