We moved into our home in June and I was so excited that there were enough rooms to allow me to have my own office. At our old house my crafting supplies and photography set up was in the garage and my desk was in the middle of the living room, it was a horrible set up. My new office is right at the top of the stairs and you’re welcomed by french doors and I’m loving the look it gives my office. My office is the place for my crafting supplies, cutting machine, desk, computer set up, photography set up and more.
It’s my space away from kids and have a peaceful feeling upon walking in. We painted the walls a gorgeous Icy Mint and Ultra White paint from Valspar. The window wall is a crisp white color right now but in the very near feature we’ll be adding in horizontal stripes to give the office a little more chic look!
I decided to center my desk in the middle of the room looking out into the hallway so I can see everything going on with the family! In my office my husband did a custom closet set up to cater to all of my needs. It has adjustable wire shelving that holds my wrapping paper, vinyl, cutting machines and all of my storage containers that house the fun things such as duct tape, glitter, soap making supplies, labelers, craft supplies and lots more. The inside of the closet is painted Ultra White. The gray boxes and green/purple boxes are from Home Goods and the clear boxes and teal blue bins are from the See Jane Work line from Office Depot. I chose to do 3 smaller gold mirrors next to my desk and I love how they turned out! I got all 3 in a set from Marshalls for just $9.00!
I love having greenery in my office! So aside my desk I have my gorgeous Modernica Ceramic Stand in white and inside you’ll find my Plumeria Plant! It’s so pretty when it blooms white flowers! You’ll also notice my Bamboo plant that was gifted to me by my wonderful husband. I believe Bamboos are lucky and I always keep one in my work space! The double hanging sorter is also from Michaels and is perfect for paperwork and bills!
Since I run the blog and add new photos weekly it’s crucial to have my own photography set up. I grabbed my table from IKEA and spray painted the legs gold to make it match my style! I have my Photography Light set up and my camera nearby. It’s the perfect area for photos and I intentionally painted the back white white so I have no distractions in my background.
On my biggest wall is my Epson Workforce Pro Printer that suits all my needs for printing for the blog. Plus my two over sized floating shelves from Ikea. These shelves are amazing and look great on my office wall! These floating shelves house all the fun knick knacks I’ve picked up for my office to set off my sense of style! You’ll notice lots of gold, my favorite!
My office is my getaway place and I absolutely love how it turned out. Stay tuned for the horizontal stripes coming soon!
