Game Day is so close! We always throw a huge party at our house and I’ve gotten pretty good at throwing them. We have tons of kids at our house on game day, so it’s super important that I stay focused on making it the best party possible. Here are my tips and tricks for making game day a success.
Everyone Gets a Nap
Like I mentioned, our home has lots of kids on Game Day, so it’s important that everyone gets a nap before we have company over. No nap can mean a huge disaster for our guests. Usually the kids have no problem giving in and taking a nap.
Keep Everything Simple
When it comes down to having a great Game Day, it’s important to keep everything simple. I try not to cook anything that will take all day. It’s wise to keep the dishes short and sweet, which is my focus every year. Of course, the dishes also have to be kid friendly and the adults have to love them too.
Have Kid Friendly Games Ready
Since the adults will be busy watching the Big Game, I try and stay focused on having stuff ready for the kids. Sometimes we have a bounce house for them and other times I get some arts and crafts ready for them. It’s always a ton of fun to see their eyes light up when they realize I have stuff ready just for them.
Mezzetta Peppers
It’s been a Game Day tradition for as long as I can remember to have Mezzetta Peppers on the big day. Each year I make a new dish with Mezzetta peppers, but they are always a big hit.
