Tips for Potty Training

September 21, 2016 by Brittany Leave a Comment

Potty training. Those are two words that every mother cringes about, just a little. While it may seem like diapers are easier, potty training does make life a little easier on everyone. This is especially true since I am about to have two kids in diapers (if I don’t get one potty trained). It’s super important to get this potty training thing under control so that I can enjoy only having a newborn in diapers.

Tips for Potty Training

#1. Get excited about potty training.

Don’t be nonchalant about your toddler using the potty, get excited. Also, let them see that you are excited about them going potty. Your excitement will rub off on them and they will get excited. Getting excited about the potty may seem silly, but when you see your kiddo go for the first time, it will be you feel excited and proud.

#2. Don’t put too many layers on your kid.

Remember that kids have to be able to remove their clothing prior to going to the bathroom. Don’t put overly complicated clothes on your kids as this could keep them from getting undressed properly. Simply put one layer of clothing on them to help them get to the potty easier. One reason why potty training in California is awesome, you don’t always need extra layers of clothing due to the weather.

#3. Use Flushable Wipes.

Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Cleansing Cloths have been a great thing in our potty training experience. Using baby wipes, you cannot flush them and it is kind of confusing for the child. With Wash with Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Cleansing Cloths, you can have your child wipe (or you can help) and everyone is happy and clean! Here are a few others reasons you can appreciate these cleansing cloths.

  • Flushable wipes
  • Breaks up after flushing
  • Sewer- and septic-safe
  • Alcohol-free
  • Great for the entire family

Keep in mind that Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Cleansing Cloths are designed with CleanRipple® Texture to clean better. These are available at your local Sams Club which makes it convenient to pick them up in a size your family can enjoy. Be sure to visit Sam’s Club Cottonelle page to save $3 when you purchase your pack of Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths (6/22-7/17). So, to all of the moms out there potty training their little ones, I’m right there alongside with you! What tips would you offer potty training parents?
