After having 3 kids and fairly easy pregnancy I was in for a challenge this time around. I found out I was pregnant with my son Landon back in December 2014 and had a fairly easy pregnancy with no morning sickness and had lots of energy and felt overall good. When I became 6 months pregnant I started experiencing heavy cramping and was admitted to the hospital for testing which showed I was in preterm labor. Everything changed on June 1, 2016. I was sent home and placed on strict bedrest for the next 3 months with the assurance of the doctors that I’d be delivering my son early. I had to do multiple doctor appointments, hospital admittance and even steroid shots to ensure his lungs would be strong enough when he was born. Fast forward 2 months and my son was born 4 weeks early on July 20, 2016. Turns out my son was breech in the worst possible position so I had to have a c-section after going into labor on my own. I’ve never had a c-section and I was so scared. Although the actual c-section is a blur in my mind now the recovery was no joke! Walking was painful, holding my son Landon was painful, adjusting myself in bed was a struggle and I was so concerned how I’d take care of my son while at home. It hurt to get up and walk around so how was I going to walk to his nursery and get him out of the crib? We had an amazing solution sitting in our room and it’s called the HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper.
The HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper is a dream come true. Easy to assemble and my son Landon loves it! This Bassinest rotates 360 degrees for the ultimate convenience while caring for your baby. My son can sleep along in the bassinest but still be close enough to my husband and I that we don’t have to be concerned while he’s sleeping. One of my all time favorite features of the swivel bassinest is that it can swivel right next to your bedside making caring for your child from your bed a breeze. Dropped the pacifier? Just reach over the soft wall that lowers and returns automatically and give him the pacifier back. Crying? Soothe him from the comfort of your bed and get him to go back to sleep. This has been so amazing to have while recovering from my c-section and I’m forever grateful I got the opportunity to review one for baby #4.
The Bassinest is recommended for babies up to five months old or 20 lbs with a maximum weight limit of 30 lbs. We’ve been using it for 2 months so far and are completely in love with every single feature of it. You’ll fall in love with the nightlight, sounds, music, two levels of vibration and a parent nursing timer. The bassinest is a soft cream color making it suitable for both boys and girls which I love and the mesh siding is so perfect to ensure your little one is able to breathe freely without a struggle. We really are in love with this and I wish it was around with I had my first son 6 years ago, it has made my life a whole lot easier. We added a few bonus accessories which made me love the convenience of the bassinest even more! The Birds Whimsical Mobile clips on to the side and provides enjoyment for your little one as they’re drifting off to sleep and the storage caddy was so perfect for the diapers, wipes, pacifiers and nose sucker!
To ensure my son is getting a good night’s rest and a safe sleep we always place him on his back with no loose blankets around and wrap him up in the HALO Sleep Sack! Our nights are so easy when he’s sleeping so peacefully right next to us!
The HALO SleepSack wearable blanket replaces loose blankets in the crib that can cover your baby’s face and interfere with breathing. In addition to sleeping more safely, HALO SleepSack products help babies sleep better, too. It’s a warm, cuddly blanket they can’t kick off, ensuring your little one sleeps soundly throughout the night. Since 2005, the American Academy of Pediatrics has suggested the use of wearable blankets. Today, HALO SleepSack products are used by over 1,400 hospitals to promote safe sleep, and by millions of parents nationwide to help babies sleep safely from the start.
The HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper is available for just $249.99 at a handful of retailers such as Amazon, Target, Babies R Us, Nordstrom and more.
