Homemade Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

Homemade Sugar Scrub is a favorite in our home and I love that it can be used on a daily basis.  I love making it from scratch year round but I especially love it around the holidays.  This Homemade Gingerbread Sugar Scrub was so easy to make and is going to make the best gift for the holidays!  We love to give out gifts to our neighbors, family, friends and more and this is the gift everyone is getting this year!

The Homemade Gingerbread Sugar Scrub is so easy to make and will make your home smell amazing. Best of all a little goes a long way.  While you’re in the shower just grab a little spoonful and rub all over and enjoy seeing your skin glow after you’re done.

  • 1 cup Pure Cane Sugar
  • 1½ cup Brown Sugar
  • ¾ cup Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • ½ tsp. Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. Ground Cloves
  • ½ tsp. Ginger
  • ½ tsp. Nutmeg


  1. Combine dry ingredients in medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add coconut oil and vanilla extract to dry mixture. Stir well.
  3. Store in sealed mason jar.
  4. Tip #1: use organic ingredients.
  5. Tip #2: works as an exfoliator and moisturizer.

  1. If I wanted to make this as a gift for my co-workers (13 of them roughly) what do you suggest as far as serving sizes? Would I just use your recipe for one jar, just 13 of them? Haha, I hope this makes sense
  2. I found a bunch of recipes for this scrub online but this one is the simplest (No complicated spices and carriers like allspice or grape seed oil) and the flavors really hit it out of the park! I had all of these ingredients on hand without having to stop at the store. The best part is all of the ingredients are fully edible so if a baby or pet accidentally got hold it wouldn't make them *too* sick. I made a batch last night and it smelled heavenly, but I did add a little extra clove. I halved this recipe to make individual 1.25 cup portions for a group project I'm working on and it was very easy to do so. Thanks for sharing this with us! :-)
