Refinished Dining Room Table

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Behr.  All opinions are 100% mine.

When I first moved out on my own I went furniture shopping and was so excited to pick out some gorgeous pieces that were going to be my style for my own home.  After going from shop to shop to shop I fell in love with this sturdy, beautiful Cherry dining room table that came with 6 chairs making it perfect.  Fast forward 6 years and although I still love my dining room table I disliked the cherry color because it didn’t match my home decor style that I have now.  I had two options I could buy a new dining room table set or I could refinish the table that I’m absolutely in love with.  I went with Option 2 and decided to take on the challenge of refinishing my dining room table and 6 chairs.  Best part is I took my table from dated to amazing in just 1 day!

Now for a little fun I’m giving away a $50 Home Depot Gift Card to one lucky reader!

  1. The table looks so great and modern now. Well done! This has inspired me. I have a wooden table similar colour but the rest of our furniture to black now too and I would LOVE to get something more matching but I can't seem to find anything really sturdy in black. Maybe I should try this.
      1. Hi Brittany! I read about your table on the Home Depot site. I have the same table and also dislike the cherry-toned finish. I am looking to transform it to a grey finish to match the sideboard we just bought. Can you tell me which primer you used? It looks like you did not prep by doing anything else, like sanding. Thanks so much! I’m excited to get this project done!
  2. Do you think the paint will hold up on a kitchen table with lots of use? For example: all meals, crafts (4 year old), playdoh, etc. If so how do you clean it?
