Quick and Easy Sausage Pasta

Have you ever stopped to think about what you’re feeding your kids? I know I don’t stop to often to think about it. But recently, I decided to only switch to Barilla. I do not just want to feed my kids wholesome foods, but my whole family. My husband and I deserve wholesome foods, which is why Barilla is perfect for the whole family.

I made our favorite meal tonight, also known as Quick and Easy Sausage Pasta. I’m telling you, Barilla Pasta, cheese, and protein makes the best dinner ever. My kids LOVE pasta and could eat it for days. I love Barilla because it’s filling and it is just what my family needs at the end of the day. A nice delicious dinner that is good for them.

A favorite around here is Barilla Whole Grain Pasta. When I feed my family this, I know they are getting an excellent source of fiber, 100% whole wheat pasta, and 56g of whole grain in each serving. Look at all the goodness you’re feeding your family and they probably have no idea.

This is one of my favorite dishes to make for my family because it’s quick and easy to make, kid friendly, filling and it tastes so delicious!  Hands down one of my favorite dishes to date and we love how the Barilla penne pasta fills us up!  Another thing to love is that Barilla Gluten Free pasta has recently been named one of Parents Magazine’s “Top 25 Allergy Free Foods”.

  • Barilla Whole Grain Penne Pasta
  • Barilla Marinara Pasta Sauce
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Fresh Tomatoes
  • Sausage


  1. Pop your sausages onto your BBQ and let them cook up for a few minutes before rolling them to coat the other side. Once they’re done being cooked up on the grill bring them inside and cut up into bite size pieces.
  2. Add your pasta into boiling water and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  3. In another pot add in your Barilla Marinara pasta sauce and drop in your sausage pieces as well as your cut tomato pieces and give it a quick stir.
  4. Once your Barilla Whole Grain Penne Pasta noodles are done being cooked drain out the excess water and pour your sauce and sausage on top and stir together.
  5. Pour into dishes for your family to enjoy and top off with some fresh grated mozzarella cheese.
